How would you recover the meaning most relevant for you? Now think of those same words being said to you personally by another person in a conversation. Pay attention to your intuitions as you do this. Most likely, you will connect the sentences about people to be about you, dependeing upon whether you are engaged in the practice of hypnosis and how well you can fully experience these words being said about you. The purpose of recognizing deletions is to assist the client in restoring a fuller representation of his experiences. Deletion is a process which removes portions of the original experience (the world) or full linguistic representation (Deep Structure).
