師はまず、自分が見ていると思っているこの世界は、単なる一つの見方であって、世界の一つの描写に過ぎないという考えを弟子に伝えることから始める。師はこの点を弟子に証明するため、あらゆる努力をする。しかし、これを受け入れることは、人間にとって最も難しいことの一つらしい。私たちは自分だけの世界観に囚われて、それに満足し、そのために自分がこの世界のすべてを知っているかのように感じ、かつそのように振る舞わざるを得なくなっている。師は、まさに最初の行為から、その世界観を断ち切ることを目指します。呪術師たちはこれを内なる対話の停止と呼び、弟子が習得できる最も重要な技術であると確信しています。
