The minimum unit of mind is difference. Where does new information come from? It comes out of difference just like depth perception comes out of the two convergent images. A new class of information emerges from the synthesis of two different descriptions. One of the wellformedness conditions we're going to insist on in working towards personal genius is that you need at least two descriptions before acting.
