Methods
for achieving rapport: nearly from it's' inception NLP has recognized, modeled
and coded specific processes/procedures by which rapport can be established and
maintained. Of particular im- portance is the ability of the trainer to rapidly
upon first contact with the client create these rapport relationships. Two of
the best known of the NLP methods are the quite simple processes known as

Take as a not uncommon example, two lovers who are in the midst of a quarrel. It is quite clear amidst the drama and passion displayed by these two lovers that they cannot NOT respond to one another. Each insists on having the last word; each insists of responding to the last gesture, facial expression, comment by the other. ability to capture and hold the unconscious attention of the client. It is
largely irrelevant whether the client experiences one of the states mentioned
in the subset of positive rapport states mentioned above or in fact, the client

state the client would use to describe his or her relationship with the trainer
